Tellagami

Hi everybody.

This week’s Project is to introduce a digital storytelling app . The app I will tell is Tellagami. Tellagami is a free app and it is available for IOS and Android users.This application  is easy to use.

















When you download this app and you open it, an introduction gami video is shown to users.


Then you start to customise your character.There are options for users. For instance, After selecting the character’s sex ,you can change the character’s hair, eye colour, dressings, head, skin tone, shoes.


You can alter your own chataracter’s emotions. You can make the character confused as I display in the screen shot.


After completing all of these steps, You can choose and change the background by simply clicking on them.


In this step you can record your voice in limited timing. You can add text.




If you would like, you can share it or you can only save it.


 What can be done using that application?
I consider this app is easy to applicable. Learners can easily use it. Learners can construct their own character by individually or they can work with a group. They record their voices and they can tell the stories made up by themselves. They can share it.  It is suitable for especially young learners.  It lets students make animation quickly without struggling to understand or use it. It can enhance learners creativity and also it edutains. In other words it can provide them learning when entertaining. It can increase  the learning especially for visual and auditory learners. Language is alive but with this app and like other apps like this language learning can become more meaningful. Since sometimes language may occur a bit abstract and it needs to be more concrete.  With Tellagami, meaningful learning may come true. On the other hand, I think it has some drawbacks like movement feature. If developed, it will be more useful and enjoyable for learners. These are just my opinions. That’s all. Thanks for reading. Digital Story Telling

Hi everyone. This week's project was digital story. We had 3 options and we chose the friendship topic. I worked with Kübra Günal in this project and thank you Kübra for your partnership.We wrote our story about our friendship and then we made animations. It was highly amusing. We had really fun. We made up ourselves with the animations, we selected places in the story. After accomplishing the animation, we recorded our own voice and we added it to the animation. We attached background music. I think digital story is very enjoyable and beneficial. It teaches when it entertains. It provides learning with visual and auditory. Preparing the digital story was highly entertaining and I found it is very helpful for learners. On the other hand it may be a bit time consuming. English Practice

Hello again! This week’s project is to introduce a website related to the language learning. It was a bit time-consuming and tiring yet I had information about the website I chose and this facilitated my critical thinking. Now I would like to mention about an online website related to learning English its name is English Practice. If you want to look at the site, you can click here. It is a free learning English resource. There are 25 sub-categories in this 
site. Let’s have a look at them briefly.

This category’s title is Business English. In this section, you can see some cues to be able to help your business English. For instance, you can learn how to write a CV or acceptance letter.


Second section is related to the Common Mistakes. This category may help you by showing common mistakes made by learners and hence you can see the wrong usages and you can be aware of true ones thanks to this part because it displays us to true forms in addition to mistakes made by learners.




Third section is Creative Writing and you can write a key word and search it and then it provides some results appropriate for your search.





















Fourth section is English for Children. This category provides some pattern practices for children.


Fifth category is English Games. There is mixed sentences and you can form them in a regular sentences.














Sixth category is English Grammar. It gives us some basic grammar rules and usages.














Seventh section is English Learning. It gives similar usages like in sixth section but it enables some basic regular usages to be used in further specific situations .















Eighth section is English quiz. There is some fill in the gaps activity and some practices to be able to reinforce learning English.



















Ninth category is English Teaching. There is some explanations and exercises in this part.














Tenth section is ESL. It is showed that some rules about grammar and usages and some analysis related to the language and its different, special uses.















The latter section is Essay Writing. It depicts us general essay writing cues and  statements about how to write essays.
















Twelfth part is Expressions.It is displayed idioms in English and their specific purposes usages generally.














Ielts is the latter part.In this chart, it is given information about IELTS.















Fourteenth section is Improve English.  There is some different variations,usages and exercises in this part.














The latter section is Letter Writing and it is shown  how to prepare letters.














In Online Jobs section it was told an online translator and was given information about online jobs.


















In Punctuation category, punctuations are explained and given examples.













In Style Guide section, there are proverbs ,figures speech of part and like these elements etc.












In Test Preparation. There are tips for reading comprehension questions. 



























In TOEFL section, it is given information and clues about TOEFL and TOEFL questions.
















In vocabulary section can facilitate your vocabulary knowledge. There are activities to be able to develop your word knowledge.
















Lastly, Writing section submits much information about writing.















What about my opinions about English Practice?
As for me this site has both positive and negative sides. It is very explanatory and so it may help learners can understand more easily. In this site it was given common mistakes made by learners and other learners can see them and they may avoid them. There are many examples for grammar, vocabulary, idiom so learners can practice. There are business English and this section may provide learners to see business English usage. I think these features are advantage of this site. On the other hand it has some deficiencies. For example, it does not have many operative activities. I consider that this deficiency can be improved. In games section has a few games. It could have been more games and they could have been developed. These are cons of this site. I like this site but at the same time I think it has deficiencies and it must be facilitated. These are just my ideas. If you want to learn more things about the website, Please check and try it. Maybe you like so much or dislike it but before you make decision use it. My Wiki Space The Fault In Our Stars

Hello again.
Our this week's project related to technology and material design lesson is as to wikis. It was highly enjoyable for me to write about one of my favorite books. I consider that wikis can reveal one's creativity. It also makes the learning enjoyable. I think  especially for EFL learners, it is very beneficial. Learners decide their favorite things and they learn and enjoy. At the same time learners can facilitate their writing skills with this activity and they can become more self-confident about writing with this activity. There may be diasadvantage for people who cannot access the net. Here is one of my favourite books is The Fault in Our Stars.

Trapped in a fiction

Hello everybody! This is our podcast “Trapped in a fiction” We prepared it with  my partner Merve Ertan. We had really fun. By the way Merve thanks for your partnership. We made up a story and we found sound effects on the internet.There are some pros and cons of podcasting. For example, it is accesible to everyone who use the internet. It can develop  listening skills. Leaners can easily access and listen to it again and again and so at the same time they improve their pronunciation. This activity is both enjoyable and educational. I think these are pros of podcast. There are cons of podcast.  For instance, there can be those who cannot access to internet and they may not use it. This may be a problem.  We really enjoyed when we prepared it but we had difficulty for finding some sound effects. I hope you like our podcast. Please share your ideas  with me. Enjoy it. :)
